Vulnerability
Assessment - Internal
Overview
An overview of our vulnerability assessment internal
process is as follows:
- Determine scope, duration, schedule, and success
criteria for Vulnerability Assessment.
- Review network topology, select agents, confirm
test sequence.
- Automatically Scan IP addresses from Internet in
an attempt to find possible vulnerabilities from a
"Hackers" perspective.
- Generate report including level of severity, differential
analysis, trend analysis, and remediation actions
required.
- Review your automated scan results to filter out
false positives and to develop and perform specific
manual tests for obscure and emerging vulnerabilities,
which may have escaped detection via automated testing
- Review results with customer, determine if remediation
necessary based on predetermined information risk
level.
